KIDS FOR THE CURE:
All registered Kids for the Cure participants (12 yrs & under) will be able to visit the Kids Tent which will include arts and crafts, games, sport activities, face painting, snacks, drinks, and visiting with local area mascots.  All registered kids who run/walk the Kids Dash will receive a Kids for the Cure medal. All kids must have the yellow Kids for the Cure bib number for entry into the Kids Tent and Kids Dash.

T-SHIRTS:
Commemorative "Race for the Cure" t-shirts will be available at Packet Pick-up on Friday, October 18-Noon-6pm and Saturday, October 19-10am-6pm and on Race Day at the T-shirts tent. Please keep official race number and t-shirt tab to claim your t-shirt. Shirts and sizes are subject to availability.

THE IMPACT YOU ARE MAKING
Local People. 75% of the net proceeds raised by the Komen New Orleans Affiliate are used to fund community programs in southeast Louisiana that provide screenings, treatment, education, social, and financial support for women before, during, and after treatment. This is more important today than ever as Louisiana faces the second highest mortality rate from breast cancer in the nation. Since 1995, the Komen New Orleans Affiliate has invested over $3.8 million dollars in our community to provide breast screenings and give financial support to women and families. This year, the New Orleans affiliate funded $475,000 in local grants.
Global Research. 25% of the funds you raise go to Komen's Research Grant Program, which invests in studies seeking the causes, improved treatments, and ultimately the cures for breast cancer. Last year, Komen New Orleans sent $169,000 to fund breast cancer research.
